Ben Youssef Khalil explains the absence of Kaizer Chiefs trio in their 2-0 win over Sekhukhune United
Lebohand Maboe, Wandile Duba and Siphesihle Ndlovu have become key players for Kaizer Chiefs in the tam's last five to six games.
Maboe has been pulling the strings in midfield, Duba started scoring crucial goals and Ndlovu became as midfield hardman opposition midfielders would dare want to mess with.
But the trio was missing at New Peter Mokaba Stadium last night when Amakhosi sealed their Caf Confederation Cup spot and a third place finish with a 2-0 win against Sekhukhune United.
Coach Ben Youssef Khalil has explained what made the players miss the thrilling game in Polokwane yesterday.
"For Maboe, like I said, it was fatigue after the last game. We decided with the medical staff and with him to give him a rest in this game,” said Ben Youssef.
“Ndlovu, the problem is that he had four yellow cards. Duba is still injured, Shabalala is injured.
“We try to keep consistency in the team. But sometimes there is a risk of injury. So, we should make rotation.
“Like I said, a lot of times we discuss about the team or the player. We show that any player you ask him to come, he is ready to fight for the badge, for the team and for the fans.”
