France became the fifth quarterfinalist of the 2024 European Championship by defeating Belgium in the Round of 16.

The first half was rather dull. Neither team managed to create any dangerous opportunities, with each side hitting the target only once.

However, after the break, the intensity of the game picked up. France started to attack more as the match approached its final whistle.

In the 85th minute, substitute Randal Colomani received the ball in a favorable position and took a shot that deflected off Jan Vertonghen and ended up in the net.

In the quarterfinals, France will face the winner of the match between Portugal and Slovenia.
