Bafana Bafana defeder Nkosinathi Sibisi: It's not how you do it but 'you have to do it' attitude that gets you positive results in the Afcon
Nkosinathi Sibisi is not just sitting on the Bafana Bafana bench but the Orlando Pirates defender is absorbing as much lessons as he can possibly take from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Sibisi has not been in the starting line-up as Siyabonga Ngezana is the preferred choice at central defence for Hugo Broos.
This evening Bafana Bafana face Zimbabwe in the Group B deciding match at Stade de Marrakesh.
“The biggest lessons we have taken from the last two games is that in this tournament is that it’s not about how you do it, but you have to do it, you have to get the results,” said Sibisi.
“And I think we saw in the previous two games, we fought for it against Angola and were able to get a 2-1 victory.
“But I think being solid as a team and keeping clean-sheets is will take us a long way in this tournament because I think we have conceded two now but going back to the previous AFCON, we kept a number of clean-sheets.
“That’s going to be important and that’s the biggest takeaway from this tournament right now.”
The match starts at 6pm.
