2026 CAF Super Cup: the prize money awaiting the winner
The 2026 CAF Super Cup promises a handsome financial reward.
The winner of this clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and USM Alger will pocket half a million dollars. The two clubs will face off on Sunday 8 November at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, with the aim of securing the first continental title of the season.
Beyond the trophy itself, the financial stakes provide an added incentive for both clubs. At the end of 90 minutes, the winning team will walk away with this $500,000 prize.
In the event of a draw at the end of normal time, the two teams will not play extra time. The winner will be decided directly by a penalty shoot-out.
This fixture pits two teams against each other who were both crowned champions last season in CAF club competitions. As Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to cement their continental status by adding another Super Cup to their honours list.
For their part, USM Alger, who were crowned Confederation Cup champions, will be looking to cap off their campaign with another continental title.
