Alassane Diatta undergoes surgery following a hamstring injury
This is a major setback for the young Senegalese midfielder at Villarreal.
Alassane Diatta has undergone surgery following an injury to his left hamstring. Villarreal announced the surgery on Thursday, November 5, confirming that the Senegalese player underwent the procedure in Finland.
In its statement, however, the Spanish club did not specify exactly how long the player would be out of action. The date of his return to action will depend largely on how his recovery progresses.
Nevertheless, estimates suggest he will be out for between three and six months. If this forecast proves accurate, Alassane Diatta could be back on the pitch between February and May 2027.
This is a major setback for the Senegalese midfielder, who will now have to focus on his rehabilitation before considering a return to action.
