CAF confirms the date and venue of the 2026 Super Cup
Mamelodi Sundowns and USM Alger will face off on Sunday 8 November at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, as they vie for the season’s first continental trophy.
This fixture will pit two clubs against each other who were crowned champions last season in CAF club competitions. As Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns will have the opportunity to add another honour to their trophy cabinet. The South Africans will be looking to bounce back after their elimination in the second preliminary round of the 2026-2027 Champions League.
Opposing them, USM Alger will go into the match aiming to win the Super Cup following their triumph in the 2025-2026 Confederation Cup. The Algerian club, currently defending its continental title, also intends to cement its status on the African stage.
The match is therefore set for 8 November in Pretoria. It will be a clash between two champions vying for continental supremacy and another trophy to add to their history.
