Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane is facing a difficult selection dilemma. Several key Mamelodi Sundowns players are dealing with fitness issues, raising concerns ahead of the two meetings with Kenya.

Of particular concern is the condition of national team captain Ronwen Williams and key midfielder Teboho Mokoena. Both players missed their club's latest matches. Mokoena is struggling with a recurrence of a ligament injury sustained after returning to Sundowns from international duty.

Also in the treatment room are Khuliso Mudau, Grant Kekana, Keanu Cupido and Kegan Johannes. Aubrey Modiba had previously dealt with fitness problems as well. As a result, the squad's absences affect several areas of the team.

Mosimane will have to closely monitor the leaders' recoveries, as the loss of key players could seriously affect Bafana Bafana's chances in the decisive stage of qualification.

As a reminder, South Africa will face Kenya in Johannesburg on November 13, with the return fixture taking place in Nairobi on November 17.
