Manchester City vs Ipswich: can the Premier League leaders extend their winning streak?
On October 17, Manchester City will host Ipswich in the seventh round of the English Premier League. On paper, the hosts appear to have a significant advantage, but after the international break, it will be important not only to maintain their rhythm but also to avoid underestimating their opponents.

The Citizens have made an almost perfect start to the campaign: six wins from six matches and 18 points on the board. Their previous outing was particularly impressive — away from home, they thrashed Liverpool 3-0. That result was a major statement of their title credentials and showed that City can not only control possession but also make their chances count.
The main threat to the visitors' defence will be Erling Haaland. By the sixth round, the Norwegian had already scored six league goals and remains the key figure in the attack. If Ipswich allow the hosts to deliver the ball into the box regularly, stopping the striker will be extremely difficult. However, the danger does not come from Haaland alone: Manchester City's combination play can create problems in several areas of the pitch at once.
For Ipswich, the trip to Manchester will be a serious test of their resilience. The visitors must not sit deep for all 90 minutes, otherwise the hosts' pressure will eventually pay off. At the same time, playing too openly against an opponent of this calibre could lead to trouble.
The best approach would be a compact defence, discipline in midfield and quick counter-attacks at the first opportunity.
Of course, much will depend on how quickly City can open the scoring. An early goal would force the visitors to change their plan and commit more players forward — exactly the scenario in which the hosts feel most comfortable.
Manchester City look like clear favourites. Given the hosts' attacking power and their results at the start of the season, it is logical to expect plenty of goals.
My prediction: over 3 total goals.
