Zuko Mdunyelwa on Mamelodi Sundowns' loss in the Caf Champions League final last season: We have forgotten about it and now focused on today's game
Mamelodi Sundowns’ final loss to Pyramids last season in the Caf Champions League is something they are not focusing on at the moment.
It is now in the past and has no influence on how they approach today’s Caf Champions League semi-final second leg tie against Esperance in Pretoria.
Defender Zuko Mdunyelwa said they dealt with that disappointment and are now focused on delivering the results in today’s match to go into this season’s final.
“We’re not focussing much on that, it’s a new season. So we are more positive, looking forward to the upcoming fixture,” said Mdunyelwa.
“But it did play its toll, that we don’t want to feel the way we felt last season. So that’s the spirit.”
Sundowns approach the clash at Loftus Versveld with a 1-0 lead they gained last week in Tunisia.
The match starts at 3pm.
