Brayan Leone sent Mamelodi Sundowns to the Caf Champions League final with strikes in both legs as the Brazilians reach their second final in a row
Brayan Leon predatory instincts sent Mamelodi Sundowns to the Caf Champions League final for the second time in two seasons.
The Columbian scored this afternoon from a rebound after his penalty was saved by Esperance goalkeeper but he had the luxury to finish it and he did.
It was Leon also who scored in Tunisia last Sunday when Sundowns won that first leg tie by an odd goal.
His arrival at the Brazilians has been a revelation as Leon has been scoring whenever given the opportunity.
Ahead of this tie at Loftus Versveld, Esperance coach was adamant they will cause an upset and beat Sundowns at home but this was not the case.
Sundowns dominated proceedings from the onset with Divine Lunga at left-back making huge forays upfront.
There were few scares by the visitors but it was not opportunities which troubled Ronwen Williams much in the Sundowns goalposts.
Now Sundowns will know this evening who they will face in the final between RS Berkane and FAR Rabat who play in the other semi-final at 9pm.
