PSG close to Signing Krasnodar Goalkeeper Matvei Safonov, Reports Fabrizio Romano

Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano reports that Paris Saint-Germain is close to securing the transfer of Russian Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvei Safonov. The Parisian club considers the goalkeeper a significant talent. Negotiations over a transfer package worth 20 million euros, including add-ons, are in the final stages. Details are yet to be finalized and the deal concluded.

The 25-year-old, born in Stavropol, Russia, is a product of Krasnodar's academy. In the 2023-24 season, he played 30 matches for the "Bulls," keeping 11 clean sheets.

Safonov is also the goalkeeper for the Russian national team, having played in 13 matches.

Earlier, it was reported that PSG is ready to spend 250 million euros on two key players from Napoli.
