Will there be no farewell? Ronaldo's future with Portugal revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo's future with the Portugal national team remains uncertain. Despite reports from France's L'Équipe about the forward potentially returning for a farewell match, no negotiations on the matter are currently underway. According to Record, such a scenario is merely speculation and is not supported by any factual basis at this stage.

Ronaldo left the national team's camp in Copenhagen and returned to Riyadh. The Al-Nassr striker has yet to explain the reasons behind his decision or make any statements about his future with the national team. A final decision is expected to be made after Portugal's Nations League match against Norway.

At the same time, the Portuguese Football Federation hopes to find a peaceful solution to the conflict and keep the 41-year-old forward in the squad. Bruno Fernandes urged Ronaldo not to make any hasty decisions and stressed that the captain remains part of the national team.

Jorge Jesus has also left the door open for reconciliation. Thus, it is still too early to talk about the end of Ronaldo's international career. The decisions made after the match against Norway could determine whether the legendary forward will continue representing Portugal or whether the country will begin preparing for his farewell.
