Peace or the end of an era? Ronaldo-Jesus conflict takes an unexpected turn
Portugal is trying to resolve the high-profile conflict between Cristiano Ronaldo and the national team. According to A Bola, head coach Jorge Jesus has agreed to take part in a meeting with the captain, which the Portuguese Football Federation is proposing to organize.
The federation intends to act as a mediator and is already in contact with Ronaldo’s representatives. The goal is to create the conditions for talks on neutral ground and prevent a definitive split between the 41-year-old forward and the national team he has represented for more than two decades.
However, it remains unclear whether Ronaldo himself is ready to accept the offer. Since leaving the training camp in Copenhagen, the captain has remained silent, and the next move is now expected from him.
The federation wants to preserve Ronaldo’s legacy and avoid a sudden end to his international career. The key question now is whether Cristiano will agree to sit down at the negotiating table and whether the sides can find a compromise.
