Yesterday, in the 30th round of the English Premier League, Manchester United faced Brentford. By the end of regular time, the score remained 0-0, but in the sixth minute of extra time, Mason Mount scored his debut goal for the 'Red Devils' and put the team ahead. However, the guests' joy didn't last long, as Christopher Ayer equalized for the opponents just three minutes later, setting the final score at 1-1.

After the match, Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag criticized his players' lack of aggression and stated that his team did not deserve to win the match.

"We didn't deserve to win. But if you win, you have to accept it. I would say that usually, we are very good in such circumstances.

We showed resilience throughout the game, but Brentford was better in terms of aggression. We need to show more intensity and desire in many moments of the game. If you play poorly, you still have to win, and we almost did it - my big disappointment is that we didn't finish the job. There was spirit and fight, but it wasn't enough".

In yesterday's match, Brentford took 31 shots on the opponent's goal. This statistic is alarming, especially considering that in the last twelve games, Manchester United's goal has been peppered with 254 shots. However, when asked if he was concerned about this statistic, ten Hag responded negatively.

"As long as we get results, no.

Sometimes we defended deep, and because Brentford is very direct, we lost a lot of second balls. We need to defend the penalty area, and we did that fairly well. The goalkeeper was excellent - we must acknowledge that. Our results since January have been quite stable: we allow shots on goal, but we don't concede."

Manchester United currently occupies the sixth position in the Premier League, with an eight-point gap behind Tottenham, who are in the European qualification zone, with nine games remaining in the season.
