WAFCON 2026: kick-off time and venue for the final
Cameroon and Malawi will face each other this Sunday evening in Rabat in the tournament’s final, with a historic title at stake.
The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will come to an end this Sunday, 16 August, in Morocco. The final of the competition, which began on 25 July, will be played in Rabat.
This fixture will pit two teams against each other who have never won the continental title. Cameroon and Malawi, the two finalists, are each looking to secure their first trophy in the tournament.
This match is therefore set to be an epic encounter. Although the Indomitable Lionesses are more experienced, having reached three WAFCON finals without a single victory, they will face a formidable Malawi side that has caused a sensation in its first appearance.
The Malawians have put in a fine performance, securing convincing victories to reach the final. The final is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm GMT at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
