WAFCON 2026: here are the winners of the competition’s individual awards

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations concluded on Sunday 16 August, with awards presented at both team and individual levels.

After an outstanding tournament, Cameroonian midfielder Monique Ngock was named the competition’s best player. She made a lasting impression with her performances and her influence on the Indomitable Lionesses’ path to victory.

Michaely Bihina was voted best goalkeeper at WAFCON 2026. The Cameroonian delivered outstanding performances that contributed enormously to the Cameroonian team’s exceptional run to the continental title.

Temwa Chawinga won the Golden Boot at the 2026 AWomen’s Africa Cup of Nations. The Malawian striker finished the competition with five goals, ahead of her rivals in the top scorers’ standings.
