Al-Ittihad sporting director Ramon Planes has admitted the possibility of Vinicius Junior transferring to the Saudi Arabian league.

Details: In an interview with Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero, the Spanish executive Ramon Planes stated that Saudi football is now ready to attract world-class players who are at the peak of their careers.

“Yes, I see it as a real possibility that players like Vinicius could move to Saudi Arabia. The league is evolving, and now we are able to bring in top-level players at their very best,” said Planes, who previously worked at Barcelona, Espanyol, Getafe, and Betis.

According to the Al-Ittihad director, the Saudi project has changed significantly: the focus is shifting from aging stars to players in their prime footballing years.

"Now, we're not only bringing in players at the twilight of their careers. The trend is to sign those who can still set the standard in world football," he emphasized.

The executive also did not rule out that, in the future, Saudi Arabian clubs could gain access to the Champions League. In Planes' view, the globalization of sport is opening up new formats and opportunities, and Saudi football continues to strengthen its position on the world stage.

It's worth noting that this season, the Brazilian has played 24 matches, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. Transfermarkt values him at €150 million.

Reminder: Manchester United is preparing a €200 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.
