Real Madrid's preseason has kicked off with some truly unwelcome news.

Details: Thiago Pitarch has sustained a knee injury during the first training session with the Madrid club. The news was reported by renowned insider Fabrizio Romano.

The expectation is that the player won’t return to action before the beginning of September. That means Pitarch will miss a significant portion of Real Madrid’s preparations for the new season.

It’s worth noting that last season Thiago Pitarch featured in 16 matches for Real Madrid’s first team across all competitions, made 11 starts, played a total of 817 minutes, and contributed two assists.

Reminder: Transfer bombshell for €70 million! Real Madrid target Inter's leader.
