The Catalans are working on a plan B.

Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, if the transfer for Julián Álvarez falls through, Barcelona's management is ready to switch their focus to another promising forward.

Based on the available information, in recent weeks the Catalan club has been closely monitoring Bournemouth striker Junior Kroupi, considering him as an alternative to strengthen their attack.

Barcelona isn't the only club interested in the young Frenchman. This month, Manchester City also inquired about the possibility of his transfer.

Despite the attention from top European clubs, Bournemouth is not planning to part ways with one of their most talented players and insists that they do not intend to sell Kroupi in the upcoming transfer window.

Junior Kroupi's current contract with Bournemouth runs until 2030, and his market value is rated at €70 million by Transfermarkt.
