Yan Diomande has resumed training with RB Leipzig whilst awaiting a final agreement on his transfer to Real Madrid

The Ivorian international had not yet rejoined his German club following the 2026 World Cup.

It’s back to training for Yan Diomande at RB Leipzig. Since leaving the World Cup following Ivory Coast’s elimination in the round of 32 of the tournament, which was held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 19-year-old striker had been on holiday.

He was in Abidjan whilst his name was the subject of much speculation in the transfer market. But the Ivorian has now rejoined Leipzig for pre-season preparations. Yan Diomande rejoined his team-mates on Monday 27 July for pre-season.

However, the Ivorian international’s return comes amidst reports linking him strongly with Real Madrid in recent hours. Leipzig and Real Madrid are still in talks and are reportedly close to a final agreement for Yan Diomande’s transfer to Madrid.

In the meantime, however, Yan Diomande is continuing to train with Leipzig.
