The Uganda Cranes practiced at Hamz Stadium on Saturday in preparation for their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Burundi. In a light session, the team, under the direction of head coach Paul Put and his assistants Felix Ayobo, Ibrahim Mugisha, and Sam Ssimbwa, worked with 24 players to help them recuperate from their most recent club games.
As a crucial component of their preparation for the CHAN competition, Coach Put emphasized the significance of the forthcoming game. "The game versus Burundi is not something we're underestimating. In order to maintain fan excitement and prepare for the competition in February 2025, we need positive outcomes," he said.
Milton Karisa, a forward for Vipers SC, said, "I'm looking forward to representing my country," expressing his excitement about rejoining the national squad.
The squad will intensify preparations once the remaining players, including Samuel Ssenyonjo and Jude Ssemugabi, join the camp.
