In late August, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) cleared tennis player Jannik Sinner of doping allegations, determining he bore no fault and imposing no sanctions. However, the case is not yet closed as it now moves to another authority.
Details: According to a press release from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, hearings in the case brought by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against Sinner, the ITIA, and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) will begin on April 16.
It was noted that none of the parties requested public hearings, so the proceedings will be held behind closed doors.
Reminder: In March 2024, Sinner returned two positive doping tests showing a low level of clostebol, a substance used to build muscle mass. The ITIA later ruled that the substance entered his body accidentally, resulting in his exoneration.
