Tony Kroos publicly apologized to Pedri for the injury inflicted during the Euro 2024 quarterfinals

21-year-old Barcelona midfielder Pedri sustained a knee injury during the quarterfinal match against Germany at Euro 2024 due to a harsh tackle by Toni Kroos. An examination this morning revealed a second-degree medial collateral ligament strain in his left knee, requiring a recovery period of four to six weeks.

Despite the injury, Pedri will remain with the Spain team for the tournament to support his teammates in the semifinals against France. He will be unable to play at least until the beginning of the next season as he needs to fully recover.

After the match, Kroos apologized to Pedri for the incident that led to his injury, expressing hope for a speedy recovery and wishing him all the best in his future career.
