Legendary German midfielder Toni Kroos announced before the start of Euro 2024 that he will end his career after this tournament. According to the footballer, he always wanted to end his career at the peak.

However, in the quarterfinals of Euro 2024, the German had a very high probability of ending his career with a red card.

During the match against Spain, Toni made some very gross violations for which he should have been penalized by the match referee, Anthony Taylor.

At the beginning of the game, Kroos caused a severe injury to a young Spanish midfielder, Pedri. Due to a knee injury, the Spanish player was only able to spend eight minutes on the pitch. This incident could well have been assessed a yellow card for rough play. However, the referee ignored the episode.

Already in the second half, Kroos received a yellow card for disrupting an attack: he also broke the rules on 67 minutes.

However, it was only the first yellow. What if Toni had received another one in the first half? How would the game have turned out if Germany had been left with ten men for the last 23 minutes?

In the end, Germany equalized the score (1:1) and took the game into overtime.
