The youngest MVP in NBA history, Rose ended his career
Today marks the end of an era in the NBA. The legendary Derrick Rose has announced his retirement.
Details: Rose revealed his decision in an interview with The Athletic.
"The next chapter is about chasing my dreams and sharing my experiences. I believe true success comes when you become who you were meant to be, and I want to show the world who I am beyond basketball.
For better or worse, everyone has a 'what if' story in life. Even if I could, I wouldn’t change anything about my journey, because it’s what helped me find real joy".
Reminder: In 2008, Rose was the first overall pick in the draft, selected by the Chicago Bulls. In 2011, he made history by becoming the youngest player ever to win the NBA MVP award at the age of 22.
Rose’s final NBA team was the Memphis Grizzlies, but last season he played only 24 games due to a back injury.
