The Leopards have arrived in Zimbabwe ahead of their match against the Warriors

Head coach Sébastien Desabre and his players are preparing for matchday 2 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s national team travelled from Kinshasa to Harare. The Leopards settled into their accommodation in Zimbabwe’s capital on Sunday 27 September.

They will continue their preparations ahead of their match against the Warriors on Monday 28 September, on matchday 2 of the qualifiers for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Sébastien Desabre’s side got off to a good start against Equatorial Guinea on 24 September in their opener. The Leopards won 2–0 in Kinshasa to top Group E.

They will be looking to build on that result in Harare on Monday 28 September. However, their opponents also made a successful start to their campaign. Zimbabwe had got the better of Sierra Leone with a 3–2 victory.

This second matchday therefore promises to be a close contest between the Leopards and the Warriors in Harare. Both teams are level on points (3) in Group E following their respective victories on the first matchday of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

But for this clash, Zimbabwe will have the advantage of playing in front of their home crowd.
