After instances of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior by some media representatives, CAF has threatened to revoke accreditation for any journalist involved in excessive celebrations that may offend their reporter colleagues. They have also called for a stance of absolute intolerance towards brawls. Furthermore, CAF has prohibited live broadcasts from certain areas of the stands, the use of drones, and other unauthorized filming in stadiums. When explaining the new rules to media personnel on Friday, a CAF representative stated, "Someone was dancing naked in the media tribune. We cannot allow this."

The governing body of African football stated:

"CAF has noted the growing inappropriate and unprofessional behavior of some media representatives at the African Cup of Nations workplaces. CAF has met with the local organizing committee and the police to discuss the situation and find effective solutions. While we understand that we are all football fans and passionately love our national teams, journalists are expected to adhere to professional standards."

For example, Ghana's players faced verbal abuse from journalists after a 2-2 draw in the group stage with Mozambique, and coach Chris Hughton was also criticized during a press conference. Even Ivory Coast, as the tournament organizer, encountered similar behavior.

The African Cup of Nations is reaching its climax, with today's final quarter-final matches and next week hosting all the remaining matches, including the final, which will take place on Sunday, February 11.
