Tevez Dreams of Messi-Ronaldo Reunion for His Farewell Match in Buenos Aires

Carlos Tevez is planning a farewell match worthy of his legendary career—and he wants Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to be part of it. According to an interview on streaming platform Olga, the former Boca Juniors and Manchester United forward confirmed his intention to organize a testimonial game, although the date is still to be determined.
“Yes, I’m going to do it. I probably will do it. We just have to figure out when. It’s not easy,” Tevez said. When asked whether Messi and Ronaldo would be on opposing teams, he boldly replied, “We’ll get them together.”
ESPN reported that the game would most likely be held at La Bombonera, Boca Juniors’ iconic stadium. Tevez, showing confidence, even joked about persuading Ronaldo: “I’ll go get him myself.”
Tevez played alongside Messi for Argentina from 2005 to 2015 and enjoyed major success with Ronaldo at Manchester United, where the pair won six titles together, including two Premier Leagues and one UEFA Champions League.
The 41-year-old maintains contact with both players, who together hold 13 Ballon d’Ors. While Tevez hasn’t coached since his stints at Rosario Central and Independiente, he remains connected to the sport and intends to close his chapter on the pitch in unforgettable fashion. If Messi and Ronaldo do line up together one more time, Buenos Aires is set for a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.
