Stellenbosch FC coach Gavin Hunt on their 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United: It was hell of a game with all ingredients of the humdinger
Gavin Hunt describes his side’s 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United as a ‘hell of a game’.
Hunt’s side compounded Babina Noko’s struggles as the Limpopo side’s ambition to finish in the top three continues to diminish.
“It was a hell of a game,” Hunt said after the match, according to the club’s website.
“It was end-to-end stuff, but it was a bit too open for me. There was no control from either team, and Sekhukhune could have had one or two goals themselves in the first half.
“We started the second half well. We had three or four big chances which we didn’t take, and then they scored, and then we scored. But, all in all, we did well for the victory.
“I thought the game was a little bit too open and transitional, which I don’t like because it’s a bit too edgy, but where we are now compared to where we were in January is the most important thing.”
Hunt’s Stellies face Sundowns tomorrow evening at Loftus in PSL game, where they will be hoping to continue their fine form as they plan to finish in the top eight.
