Jayden Adams reveals Mamelodi Sundowns are confident and excited to face Stellenbosch FC this evening.

Adams, a former Stellies midfielder, told the Sundowns website that the Cape Winelands side are also high in confidence as they come from a 3-1 win over Sekhukhune United.

Be that as it may, the nippy midfielder, who has been in scintillating form for Miguel Cardoso’s side disclosed that they are looking at dishing out a good performance this evening at Loftus Versveld.

“Going into the league, I think for us it’s to just keep going, keep winning and focus on ourselves while taking it one game at a time and we are definitely confident and excited for the game on Wednesday,” he said.

Sundowns are to leapfrog Orlando Pirates this evening should they win this tie as they are two points behind the Soweto side in the PSL title run in.

Pirates have 58 points with two games more than Sundowns while the Brazilians have 56.

But they must first go past Stellies in that bid to return to the top of the table after today’s match. Adams gave insight on what Gavin Hunt’s men would bring to Pretoria.

“I think they are a hard working team. They are well organised and well-coached. I think we are also expecting them to come out guns blazing because they come from a win. So, they are going to come in confident. We know they are going to come at us but we are going be ready for them,” he added.

The game starts at 7.30pm.
