Siwelele FC coach Lehlohonolo Seema on his missing players: It is about rotating the squad and there is nothing wrong with the players
Lehlohonolo Seema said the missing players in his squad has nothing to do with their performance but it’s a squad rotation.
Seema’s Siwelele FC signed some high profile players who were fringe players in their previous teams with expectation that they will uplift the Bloemfontein outfit’s pedigree in the PSL.
But that has not been the case as Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane on loan from Kaizer Chiefs are yet to cement their places in Seema’s starting line-up.
Former Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa is also struggling to make the grade at the side.
“We have a deep squad, and you will see frequent changes. Some players are in the starting XI and others are on the bench because we are training as a collective; we are trying to distribute game time to keep the group as fresh as possible. They are still very much part of the plans,” said Seema.
“The only forced absence was Ghampani Lungu, who failed a late fitness test. For the rest, it’s about management. Look at Wayde Lekay—we are rotating to ensure everyone is ready. Zwane, Sekgota, and Lepasa are there; we are simply managing the squad with nine crucial games to go.”
