A new adventure is beginning for Serge Aurier. Although the 33-year-old Ivorian has not even announced the end of his professional career following his departure from Persepolis in Iran at the end of last June, he has taken on a new role.
Serge Aurier is returning to Lens, the club that nurtured him, and will now put his experience to good use with the younger generation. The former defender for the Ivory Coast national team has joined the coaching staff of RC Lens’s youth teams as assistant coach of the U15s.
Serge Aurier knows the Lens environment inside out. It was the club that launched his career in 2009, and he represented them until 2012.
