The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) is dissatisfied with the organisation of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final against the host country, Morocco.

The concerns of Senegal's football governing body follow the national team's arrival in Rabat on Friday 16 January 2026 ahead of the final. In a statement, the FSF has called on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to take action to ensure that the principles of fair play, equality and safety are respected.

Senegal deplores the lack of adequate security measures upon the arrival of the Senegalese delegation at the Rabat train station on 16 January. ‘This failure exposed the players and technical staff to overcrowding and risks that are incompatible with the standards of a competition of this magnitude and the standing of a continental final,’ denounced the FSF.

The Federation said it lodged a formal protest before being given a 5-star hotel. Senegal also categorically refused to hold its training sessions at the Mohamed VI Complex. The Senegalese team justified its decision on the grounds that these facilities are those of the base camp of Morocco, Senegal's opponent in the AFCON final.

Regarding the battery, the Senegalese Federation considers the number of tickets for its supporters to be insufficient in relation to demand.
