Rayados Set to Move On from Esteban Andrada as Goalkeeper Search Begins

Esteban Andrada’s days at Monterrey appear to be numbered. The 34-year-old Argentine goalkeeper has lost his starting role under new manager Martín Demichelis, and the club is now preparing to sign a new shot-stopper ahead of the Apertura 2025.
The club has made the decision to look for another goalkeeper. Although the departure will not happen immediately, the management is already working on the replacement, according to FutbolTotal.
Andrada, who joined Rayados in 2021 from Boca Juniors for $5.5 million, was once seen as a key figure for the team. However, a string of underwhelming performances and the emergence of Luis ‘Mochis’ Cárdenas have diminished his standing. His only title with Monterrey remains the 2021 Concacaf Champions League.
With his contract expiring in June 2025 and his market value down to $2.7 million (Transfermarkt), the Argentine may be set for a summer exit. Rayados are now actively scouting options to restore confidence and consistency in their goalkeeping department.
