During the fourth round of the Champions League clash between PSG and Bayern, a terrifying moment unfolded as star right-back Achraf Hakimi suffered an injury. Forced to leave the pitch at the end of the first half, the Moroccan underwent medical tests, and now the club knows exactly how long he'll be sidelined.
Details: According to AS, the Moroccan defender has sustained a syndesmosis tear with a slight deltoid ligament injury. Hakimi will spend two weeks immobilized, followed by another six to eight weeks of recovery. This means Hakimi will be out of action until the start of 2026 and is likely to miss the kickoff of the Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco.
The incident occurred in the second half, when Luis Diaz launched a reckless challenge on Hakimi and was immediately shown a straight red card.
This season, the Moroccan defender has made fourteen appearances for PSG across all competitions, netting two goals and providing three assists.
Reminder: It was recently reported that Ousmane Dembélé could miss a month due to an injury picked up in a Champions League match.
