The unavailability of the FNB Stadium for the eagerly awaited titanic Confederation Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian giants, Zamalek, has opened door for Peter Mokaba Stadium to host the match.
Chiefs host the Egyptian side on the last weekend of November which coincide with the National Day of Prayer scheduled for the FNB Stadium decided to take the game away from the 2010 World Cup final venue.
Another 2010 match venue, Peter Mokaba Stadium, in Polokwane will now host this monumental game.
“We can confirm that Kaizer Chiefs is going to be bringing in Zamalek all the way from Cairo or from Egypt,” Sport and Recreation manager at Polokwane municipality Mantlako Sebaka confirmed according to iDiskiTimes.
“The game is scheduled to take place on 29 November at 15:00 and the tickets are going to be sold at Computicket for R80 only for such a big international match.
