Orbit College coach Pogiso Makhoye on their 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns: They scored from our mistakes and lapse in concentration
Pogisho Makhoye has lamented Orbit College’s concentration levels and cited them as the reason they lost 2-0 to Betway Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Makhoye’s Orbit College lost via a Iqraam Rayners penalty and a Miguel Reisinho goal at Rustenburg’s Olympia Park Stadium.
The loss means Orbit College remains second from bottom on the PSL standings as the defeat to Sundowns dented their hopes of climbing the table.
“We had a good game plan especially first half, we applied ourselves well, until second half we gave them soft goals. I mean, we were on the counter in your half and we decided to go back to the keeper and that was a gift goal,” Makhoye told SuperSport TV.
“And the free-kick, we had a lapse of concentration and they scored from that. So, it was always going to be the case because of now we have to fight to get another one unfortunately we conceded a penalty. I think it’s one spot where those lapse of concentration.
“I think in the first half we were clinical with the breaks we were getting because we got a break but not hurting them, we couldn’t even shoot, we wanted to pass inside the box, I think we need to learn more especially when we play teams like this.
“When you get a break, I think we had three times with Khoto and Mabele if we were clinical, I mean it’s a goal we could’ve gotten.”
