Iqraam Rayners on his return to form for Mamelodi Sundowns: I push myself at training and I know how to score goals
Iqraam Rayners has expressed satisfaction at his return to form for Betway Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns.
Rayners spent the greater part of the start of the season on the sidelines and it was feared he will not hit peak form.
But the former Stellenbosch FC striker has now scored 10 goals in the PSL having scored four in three matches for Sundowns, having returned to the team last month.
“I think for me it was a bit difficult because I did not play in a long time,” said Rayners to SuperSport TV after scoring one of the goals for Sundowns in their 2-0 win over Orbit College last night in a PSL match.
“But everyday at training I was pushing myself and I know how to score goals.
“And help the team winning games.”
Sundowns are now on top of the Betway Premiership standings with 47 points, three above second placed Orlando Pirates.
