Egyptian side Pyramids are on the brink of a historic triumph. Krunoslav Jurčić’s men have doubled their advantage in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final against Mamelodi Sundowns, currently underway in Cairo.
After the first half, thanks to a goal from Fiston Mayele, the Egyptians led 1-0, so at the start of the second half, everyone expected a completely different performance from the South African side. However, by the 56th minute, the hosts had already doubled their lead.
Mohamed Chibi delivered a set-piece cross into the box, where Ahmed Sami hammered the ball past Williams—2-0.
It’s worth noting that the aggregate score now stands at 3-1 in favor of Pyramids. Mamelodi are now forced to score twice if they hope to lift the coveted trophy.
