Nigeria Arrive in Rabat as Chelle Praises Morocco and Regragui
Nigeria will arrive in Rabat on Monday afternoon ahead of Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against hosts Morocco. The Super Eagles booked their place with a 2-0 quarter-final win over Algeria and now face an unbeaten Atlas Lions side in a high-stakes last-four clash.
Nigeria remain the only team with a perfect record at AFCON 2025, winning all five matches, while Morocco have recorded four wins and a draw.
Speaking after the Algeria game, Eric Chelle praised the hosts, saying, “Morocco is a great team… It’s never easy for the tournament host team because there’s enormous pressure,” adding that “there’s a lot of hard work behind everything they’ve achieved?”
Chelle hailed Walid Regragui, saying, “The coach… is fantastic… I take my hat off to him,” adding that Morocco “deserve”.
