BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu has praised the Super Eagles for their fighting display at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, insisting his $500,000 reward pledge remains intact. Nigeria lost 4-2 on penalties to hosts Morocco after a tense semi-final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday.
In a post on his official X handle, Rabiu hailed the team’s courage, unity and determination. “You fought with your hearts, gave your all, and showed true courage on the pitch…,” he said, adding that results do not always reflect effort. Rabiu confirmed, “I am going ahead with the $500,000 pledge…,” recalling the promise made after the 2-0 quarter-final win over Algeria. He urged the players to stay focused
