Mduduzi Shabalala vows to continue being best for Kaizer Chiefs with or without a Bafana Bafana call up

Mduduzi Shabalala remains focused on delivering for Kaizer Chiefs whether the national team coach selects him for Bafana Bafana or not.

Bafana coach Hugo Broos was in attendance at FNB Stadium for Chiefs clash against Betway Premiership newcomers Orbit College.

Shabalala has been one Chiefs player Broos has preferred despite his criticism of the Naturena-based side.

In his team’s 4-1 win the nippy midfielder netted a brace and created Mfundo VIlakazi’s goal on the chilly evening in Soweto.

“I think I did my job today and everything lies with the coach and any decision I will take it and I will keep on working hard,” Shabalala said on SuperSport TV after Kaizer Chiefs’ 4-1 win over Orbit College at FNB Stadium last night.

“I would like to thank Kaizer Chiefs for giving us the opportunity to play for this big team. I think for me, it hasn’t been an easy season in terms of goals and assist and I’m glad today it came and we managed to score four goals for the first time this season.”
