Cedric Kaze pleased with Mdu Shabalala and Kaizer Chiefs display as they thump Orbit College 4-1

Cedric Kaze sounded a pleased man following Mduduzi Shabalala’s heroics last night at FNB Stadium when his side thumped Orbit College 4-1.

Kaze’s excitement stems from finally being able to hit the net as they have been woeful and wasteful upfront in their previous games.

It was the first time this season Amakhosi wins a game with four goals.

“We have been having very good performances without converting the chances that we got and it was very important to start very well and we started very well with a very good mentality and as I said two weeks ago if the performances are consistent the goals are going to come and we’re glad we scored four today and we got the three points,” Kaze told SuperSport TV after the match.

The Burundian mentor who is co-coaching the Phefeni Glamour Boys alongside Khalil Ben Youssef gave praise to midfielder Mdu Shabalala who scored a brace last night. Flavio Silva and Mfundo Vilakazi scored the other two goals.

“Yes, it’s something…you know he is younger and he has to learn because he still has a very long way to develop, we know that he could do more than what he is showing. The good thing with him, he is a very humble kid and willing to learn as well," said Kaze.

Chiefs are now second on the standings with 22 points after leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who place tonight.
