Manqoba Mngqithi is not as pleased despite his Golden Arrows side beating Magesi FC 2-0 in a Betway Premiership encounter last night
Manqoba Mngqithi is a hard to please coach.
The Golden Arrows gaffer was not at all please at his striker Sede Dion who scored brace last night when they beat Magesi FC 2-0 at Seshego Stadium.
This win sees them jump to the ninth spot in the PSL standings while Magesi remains rooted at the bottom of the table.
Mngqithi’s argument is that Dion should have scored more goals than the two he netted in Polokwane.
“I believe so [he could have gotten a hat-trick, I was somehow unhappy with the chances he missed, more especially the first half,” Mngqithi said after the match.
“There was a volley that he took that could have easily been a goal of the season. Angelo Van Rooi could have laid it for Dion. The other one, he delayed until the defender managed to touch it for a corner kick.
“But I honestly think even Lungelo Nguse could have scored two or three in the few minutes that he played in the second half. But it’s impressive to see that we are getting something from these boys’ performances. I strongly believe they have been performing very well. Even away from home.
“But we are somehow unlucky with individual errors here and there, and we end up losing a game 1-0 out of nothing. We have had a lot of those situations. So it is pleasing for me to see them getting a result in a game that is always very tough for any opponent that comes to Seshego.”
