Betway Premiership side Magesi FC makes contact with former PSL coach Allan Freese as they plan for life without coach John Maduka

Allan Freese has confirmed Magesi FC have made contact with him regarding the head coach position.

The Betway Premiership side are yet to make an announcement on the position of John Maduka, who is rumoured to be on his way out of the club, but have made contact with Freese.

“Yes, but I'm not there at the moment yet. I'm not sure if there's a race for the job [laughs], they just spoke to me and they need to come back to me," says Freese on Kickoff website.

"So, I'm waiting."

“Ja, there's an interest, so I'm waiting for them now. There are other people who can be interested in the job, this is football anyway.

"They just phoned me to ask how things are and what's happening, so there was nothing concrete spoken. In football, you must wait until there's something concrete.

"We will see what's happening and what is on the table if they do speak to me again, and then we will take it from there,” he added.

Freese has been away from the professional football scene having last worked with Rulani Mokwena in Morocco as his assistant at Wydad Casablanca.
