Allan Freese’s quest to move Magesi FC away from the Betway Premiership quagmire starts this evening.

The Polokwane-based PSL side hosts Golden Arrows at the Seshego Stadium under a new coach who arrived earlier this week.

Freese joined Dikwena Tsa Meetsi on Tuesday with immediate effect after the club announced the departure of John Maduka as coach.

Under Maduka, Magesi flopped to the bottom of the standings with only 11 points from 15 matches. Freese’s immediate task is to ensure they move away from the basement of the standings as the former Carling Cup champions continue to seek the kind of form which made them champions.

In Golden Arrows, they will be facing a side with enterprising football which is good for the eye and they will have to work extremely harder to earn positive result against Manqoba Mngqithi’s side.

Yes, Arrows can be wasteful at times but with Magesi’s struggles, you cannot bet your money on Magesi as they are yet to find their mojo under Freese.

But football is an interesting game, players love impressing a new coach and Magesi playing personnel may be up for that as they will want to show Freese they have what it takes to be in the starting line-up.
