Tanzanian champions Young Africans are in the final stages of negotiations to appoint a new head coach following the departure of Miloud Hamdi. The specialist, who arrived from Singida Black Stars, guided the team to both the Premier League and Federation Cup titles before signing a contract with Egypt’s Ismaily.
According to Pan-Africa Football, citing a source inside the club, the search for a successor is nearly complete. The name of the new manager remains under wraps for now, but he is expected to be unveiled before preseason preparations begin.
Among the main candidates are Rhulani Mokwena — the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca coach, who is currently available and enjoys a strong relationship with Young Africans president Hersi Said. Julien Chevalier, currently working with Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas, is also mentioned as a contender.
