Lightning-fast counterattack! Moremi puts Pirates back in front in the Soweto derby. VIDEO
Orlando Pirates have taken the lead once again in their fierce showdown with Kaizer Chiefs. This time, the hosts showcased an impressive transition from defense to attack and made their opponents pay for their own mistake.
The goal was a real gift for the Pirates fans. Kaizer Chiefs lost the ball near the opponents' goal, after which Orlando needed just around ten seconds to launch a counterattack that ended in a goal. A swift passing move was finished off by Moremi, who fired the ball into the net to make it 2-1.
As a result, Orlando Pirates have once again seized the advantage in one of the most fiercely contested fixtures in South African football. For Kaizer Chiefs, the conceded goal was a painful blow: the team had only just restored parity after Mbumuma's opener, but once again allowed their opponents to move in front.
The Soweto derby continues to live up to expectations, while the battle between two of South Africa's giants is growing ever more intense.
