Lamine Ndiaye set to become the new coach of USM Alger
The Senegalese tactician has reportedly reached an agreement with the Algerian club.
Lamine Ndiaye, who left his position as head coach of TP Mazembe in DR Congo at the end of January 2026, is set to bounce back in the Algerian Ligue 1. The 69-year-old coach is expected to take charge of USM Alger, currently 9th in the Algerian league.
According to sources, the Senegalese coach will sign a six-month contract with an option to extend. The two parties have reportedly reached an agreement and all that remains is for it to be made official. Lamine Ndiaye is an experienced coach who could help USM Alger in the second half of the season. One of the highlights of his coaching career was leading TP Mazembe to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2010.
