Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has etched his name into Champions League history.

Details: In the second leg of the round of 16 against Turkish side Galatasaray, the Egyptian became the first African player ever to score 50 goals in the European Cup and UEFA Champions League.

This landmark goal came in the 62nd minute at Anfield. Salah combined brilliantly with Florian Wirtz before firing an unstoppable shot into the top corner, making it 4-0 on the scoreboard.

Salah's road to this milestone has taken years of consistent performances for Basel, Roma, and, of course, Liverpool, where he scored the majority of his goals.

This goal not only left no doubt about who would advance, but also cemented Mo’s status as the most prolific African ever in Europe’s premier competition, moving ahead of legends like Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o.

Reminder: Earlier, Mohamed Salah missed a penalty in the match against Galatasaray.
